In every important way,
You have always been faithful to me,
And all of us.
In every way that counts,
You have never let us down,
Nor could you.

At times, my heart completely fills,
And bursts with love for you,
And all of us.
The gratitude and peace I feel,
Gently overflows to you.
How could it not?

And so I know, I will not go back,
To childhood, you, or yesterday.
Nor could I.
Yesterday is gone like the morning rain,
evaporated by glorious afternoon sun.

I see that what was in the past,
is past, for you,
And all of us.
For what Love was sent to do,
